Overview

I worked as the in-house designer for Core Business Solutions, a company that focuses on helping small businesses attain ISO 9001 certification. ISO is complex and difficult to understand, so I produced a series of comics to teach about different elements of the quality standard. For these comics, I collaborated with the company president. He told me which clause of the standard the comic should be about, then I did research to understand that clause and produced the rough draft of a script based on what stood out to me. The president would add his revisions. Once that was finished, I used a Wacom Intuos Tablet and Photoshop to storyboard. After receiving approval, I would illustrate, color, and add final lettering to produce comics that educated about ISO 9001 in easily understood ways.
